Since the Pats are playing the Jets on Thanksgiving, I figured it was only necessary to pay homage to our worthy adversaries. Try saying that out loud without laughing. Anyways, Patriot fans…enjoy! Similar Posts You’ll Enjoy

Pats Defense Will Step Up

So it’s clear that the Pats have some problems on defense. I don’t think there is one fan of football that would say different. Myself, along with every other Patriots fan out there, lost a few days off our lives going down the stretch in Sunday’s game against Buffalo. Although I’ve been ranting and raving about it with the rest of them, I have faith in Bill. In one way or another, unbeknownst to us, he is taking care of it. And it starts this week.

Facing off against a surprising 6-3 Colts team, a lot of people are feeling a bit nervous heading into Sunday’s game. Granted it will be weird playing the Colts without Manning, Andrew Luck has settled nicely into Indy, posing quite the threat to our porous secondary. On the other hand, Indy’s run game is nothing to rave about. With the addition of Talib and the lack of a running threat, I’m thinking our secondary will come out firing. I mean it’s hard to complain about our offense, and nonetheless, Brady has that under control. It leaves that much more emphasis on the D this week. From one of the biggest Pats D critics, I’m expecting big things this week.

If anyone’s like me, yesterday was a bit depressing watching football with no Pats game. But even without a game, we still managed to strengthen our lead in the AFC East with both Buffalo and Miami losing. Not a bad … Continue reading

Gronk Spikes London

Gronk made it quite clear he wanted to leave a mark in London. Aside from ripping the Rams a new one and making me regret I didn’t start him on my FanDuel team, Gronk made waves on and off the field. Guy simply dominates everywhere he goes. So it begs the question, which London Spike was his best performance?

Pats Rip Through Rams

With exception to a few power outages, the Boston Sports Blog was lucky enough to make it through old Sandy as she ripped along the east coast yesterday. Unfortunately for New York, the Miami Dolphins were just the beginning of the storm for the Big Apple and New Jersey. With that joke finally out of the way, our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone down there that’s being affected by the storm.

On a brighter note, damn was it good to watch the Pats this weekend. Brady being the Brady of old, the secondary only allowing one long ball into the endzone, and Gronk spiking anything and everything. The Patriots arrived safely home from London yesterday prior to the wrath of Sandy and sit in first place in the AFC East heading into Bye Week. Life is good. Happy Monday Tuesday Boston.

Pat’s Secondary Second to Last in NFL

Don’t get me wrong, I love that the Pats pulled off the OT win and I commend them for sticking it out, but damn was that too close for comfort. Our three losses this year have all come after holding a lead into the second half or fourth quarter. Even games we ended up winning, like this one and Denver, the Patriots are letting the other team back into the game. I mean any time you can make Sanchez look like a half decent NFL quarterback you’re doing something wrong.

Pats Sit Atop AFC East

Finally, all is right in the football world again. The Dolphins don’t worry me at all and the Bills continue their trend of starting out decent and then realizing that they’re just the Bills so they let up 97 points in two games while scoring only 31. Rex Ryan, Sanchez, and the Jets continue to show what a disgrace to football they are and the Patriots stand alone atop the AFC East.

And things are only looking up for the Pats. Our offense is steamrolling defenses and not because of what we’re used to. Gronk was basically invisible on the field Sunday and Hernandez was out. The duo we relied on last year was absent and we still dominated offensively. The Welker we all know and love is back, in addition to a newfound running game that we’ve longed for since the days of Curtis Martin. It’s just unfair how many options the Pats have offensively. Simply no way to cover it all. On the other side of the ball, despite having the third worst passing defense in the league, we have the Seahawks next week who are second to last in overall passing yards on offense. McCourty may get picked on more than he ought to but it might not be a terrible day for the secondary. Not to mention Hernandez could be back in action. Sprinkle in replacing Monday with a Tuesday and a fantasy win to top it off…I’d say it’s a good start to the week. Happy Monday Tuesday Boston!
