Although the Celtic’s defense has not been living up to their reputation lately, they still improved to 4-3 on the season with a win over the Bulls, 101-95, so there’s something to be happy about. That’s not the only positive note. Just as most (including myself) predicted, Rondo had a huge game matching up against former Celtic Nate Robinson. He has had a double-double in every game this season and missed the triple double by 1 rebound (20 points, 10 assists, 9 rebounds).
The Celtics were a perfect 16-16 on free throws, but merely a 3-16 on 3-pointers. Once again, we were out-rebounded, but only by 6 rebounds. Unfortunately, I may have jinxed Pierce, as he only had 10 points on 4-13 shooting. Other than that, everyone played solid, but no one really stood out other than Jason Terry who hit some big shots down the stretch.
The Green look to take one at the Garden Wednesday against the Jazz at 7:30. Enjoy your Tuesday!
